Director Aleks Pavlinik
Performer, Composer, Conductor Aleks Pavlinik is, "The man who dares to take on this ensemble". He has attended the SYMS program at the University of New Hampshire studying performance and directing. He is a resident of Albany New York and a graduate of John Jay Senior High School 1996 located in the Town of East Fishkill. Composing credits include, "Call To Service" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of America, "Hopewell 1764 Fanfare and Celebration" dedicated to the Town of East Fishkill 150th anniversary. Aleks is a guest conductor and performer for the Hudson Valley Council Band and serves as the executive musical director for the Switch In Time Jazz Ensemble. His Performance credits include the John Jay Saxophone Ensemble, John Jay Big Band and Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Area - All State Bands. Aleks is a Computer Administrator at the College of St. Rose. In 1996 he was awarded the prestigious Louis Armstrong Jazz Award for his contributions to the performance of jazz music.
